Of the 25 plus lots included in the Auction, horses for sale range from yearlings to three year olds - with many youngsters by the great showjumping sire, Daley K - and a selection of broodmares.  If you're in search of a great showjumper, or maybe a dressage or eventing star, then be sure to check out the horses in this Auction!

There are many great young horses on offer, including two year old colt Blackall Park Jive (Daley K /Balmoral Lucy) pictured left, a tall colt expected to mature to about 16.3hh. In the opinion of Blackall Park, Jive is one of the top three or four best horses ever bred at the stud by Daley K. He is quite Thoroughbred in type, similar to his full brother Denali Blue, the promising showjumper started by Jeff Bloomfield and now owned and ridden by Tom Porter. Jive is also full brother to  Blackall Park D'Artagnan(2) , Blackall Park Poem (our top brood mare), Blackall Park Karnival,  Blackall Park Granada,  CP Cruz and Blackall Park Peru.  Jive is  a particularly good mover and would seem an ideal type for eventing, showjumping or dressage. He was broken in at Blackall Park in August 2010 and since then has been alternately in work and spelling. Jive has also been used as a sire and has  confirmed pregnancies.  This outstanding colt could be purchased as a breeding stallion, or as a prospective top level competitor. He is extremely well mannered and has been ridden by five different riders including juniors.

Then there's three year old gelding Dakota (Daley K/Freeway Pardon) pictured right,  who is a high quality gelding bred by Tige and Anne Elliot. Other well known showjumpers bred by Tige and Anne by Daley K  include Special K, Blackall Park Dante and Good Night Kiss. Dakota was broken in at Blackall Park in December 2010 and  since then has been ridden by several riders. He is tall, unblemished, quiet to ride and a good mover. He displays great form when free jumped with a calm and willing attitude. We would expect this outstanding young horse to make a name for himself  if given the opportunity. Dakota reminds us very much of two other horses bred by Daley K from similar types of Thoroughbred mares. Those horses are Blackall Park Zambesi, an outstanding horse campaigned by Damian Kiss a few years ago then exported to America where he was very successful, and more recently Blackall Park Coloe, (2), who performed very well at JWTS in March 2011.

Or maybe three year old filly Blackall Park Argentina (Mayfield Pzazz/Blackall Park Astra) pictured left, is the horse for you? Argentina is a very well grown grey filly who is expected to mature to at least 16.3hh.  She is unblemished and particularly attractive and shows  above average movement. She is a great ambassador for her famous sire. While Blackall Park believe she will become a top level dressage horse, they also expect her to excell in jumping as she shows a natural apptitude for jumping in the free jumping lane. She is brave and calm, and displays classic technique and great scope.   A study of her pedigree shows that her mother has strong jumping bloodlines on both sides. Argentina was broken in February 2010 and is now in work at Blackall Park. Argentina has had more work and exposure than any other horse in the sale and is a delightful mare to ride and to handle in every way. Argentina is sold confirmed in foal to the outstanding Daley K colt Blackall Park Jive, and is due to foal 28 December 2011.  She will be in full work at the time of the sale and her new owner could continue working her for at least three months to consolidate her already very strong and correct groundwork under saddle.

In addition to the horses already started under saddle, there are all the well grown, nicely conformed and correct moving yearlings, like Phillipa (Daley K/Molly) pictured right, which are blank canvasses waiting for the right person to take them home and launch their future careers!

As mentioned, many of the horses in the sale are by the legendary stallion Daley K, who needs no introduction to showjumping fans.   The pedigree of this attractive and athletic stallion is a rare mix of proven class and performance on both sides.

Daley K is best known for his showjumping progeny, however,  he has also sired top level dressage horses and some great eventers. Probably the best known of the eventers is Plutio Mio ridden by Katja Weimann.  In September 2008 Daley K  received great attention for being sire of Warwind, winner of the prestigious Garryowen trophy at the Royal Melbourne Show.  Warwind, a highly successful showhorse, is the first Warmblood winner of this famous event.
