Peggy is a lovely mare to ride, handle and compete. Everyone falls in love with her! This sale presents a fabulous opportunity for someone to purchase a well educated and very well priced mare, who is willing, kind and absolutely loves people!

Education, riding and experience: Peggy would be competent to compete at preliminary level dressage and produce a sweet dressage test. She is willing and responsive for a competent rider. Peggy will come back for a less competent rider and only does ‘as much as she is asked’. She works nicely in a soft contact and consistent frame.

Peggy is a dream to take out, show, attend adult riding club, trail ride and ride around the farm. She is always safe with absolutely no dirt. Peggy is currently in work and competing.

Handling: Peggy is patient and well mannered on the ground to rug, wash, shoe etc. She is great for the farrier and to clip. Peggy is very easy to load, travel and unload - in either a float or truck. She loves cuddles and affection.

Behaviour: Peggy is happy at home and away at shows. She travels well - loads and unloads without fuss and eats and drinks well when away from home. 

Peggy is sensible and reliable to ride and handle. She loves beach rides, trail rides and bareback rides in a halter. She does not have any vices under-saddle or on the ground. 

Peggy can, however, react to rider nerves by becoming tense or looky. She can also, at times, be girthy. However she is 100% safe at all times.

Feeding and management: Peggy ie is fed a simple diet - hay  - and a small AM and PM hard feed. She is currently paddocked full time. Peggy is happy to be stabled at competitions and is happy in a herd environment or on her own with a horse in sight.

Medical history: Peggy does not have any current medical issues.

Rider Suitability: Peggy would suit - and be an asset to - any intermediate plus rider.

The type of rider/ home that we are looking for is with someone who:

• wants a well educated and safe horse to care for, love and enjoy

• will give her lots of affection

• is going to give her a long term home

Reason for sale: Peggy is very sadly for sale as her rider is moving up the eventing and showjumping levels and has outgrown her in terms of size and ability. She is very much loved and will only be sold to a loving home.
