SOLD PENDING…

Ivy Bank Solar Eclipse

Soli is a 15.3hh WB x ASH buckskin gelding. He just turned 4 at the end of October and is out of an unregistered stock horse mare by the “Dream cream WB stallion” Ivy Bank Eclipse. Ivy bank eclipse is well known for his incredibly quiet and laid back temperament which he passes on to his offspring. Many doing really well across the levels in SJ and eventing.

I bought Soli in utero and had him trucked down from QLD when he was a weanling. He spent the first few years of his life here being handled, being trimmed regularly (bare foot, has never had shoes on yet) and coming to adult riding club rallies and clinics and hanging in the yards watching as well as a working equitation/3PE in hand obstacle clinic when he was 2.

I lightly started him around his 3rd birthday (14 rides) then tipped him back out to grow and mature. This is the first horse I have ever broken in and he was an absolute breeze through the whole backing process, never bucking and taking it all in his stride.

He has been in work since mid August, and has been out to his first few little outings (2 dressage lessons, a poles and SJ lesson, a little XC schooling rally and a working equitation clinic) where he has taken it all superbly well floating to and from alone and handling himself well at new locations.

He is the equivalent of 3-4 months total under saddle so he is virtually a blank slate and ready to be developed.

He loves to trail ride (alone or with another horse) and is a very easy keeper. He had his teeth done on the 1st Sept and has his feet trimmed every 5-6 weeks. He is good to catch and good to float alone or with company. He is a young warmblood and can be a little sensitive and also opinionated on the speed in which he wants to walk and trot and due to being so early in his education we are still working on a half halt ect, but he is learning and coming along well. Although quiet for a youngster, He will need an experienced rider to continue his education and point him in the right direction.

This is not an easy decision to make as I love this kid, but life is bloody busy (farm and 3 kids) and with me mainly focusing on my main comp horse, I feel soli is ready to be someone’s #1 and will flourish in the right hands! He was a natural at the obstacles and would make a ripper working equitation horse for someone - he’d probably even chase cows with his half ASH breeding.

He is one stunning horse who gets compliments wherever he goes and will really stand out in the future with the right leader.

Will link a YouTube video.
