La Petit (Bella) is a competitive 15.3hh NZ Hanoverian warmblood mare that has competed up to 95 eventing, novice dressage and has schooled up to 1* with some 2* xc confidently with me, and competed 115cm-120cm SJ with her previous owner. She can easily turn on the dime and has competed across Pony Club, Interschool and EA events. Bella was also chosen to represent Pony Club Queensland for the PCAQ Nationals in 2021. Bella has a naturally springy movement with a natural extension to die for, she has a scopey jump and she will always try to get her rider out of bad spots. She is a brave mare who no matter what you give her the answers always yes. She has just turned 18 but has no sign of slowing down anytime soon, has been vetted and well looked after her whole life, we are farmers so only go out competing when possible (so not very often) but thrives under competition environment and always rises to the occasion.

I can pony other horses off her and she is a problem free horse easy to maintain and look after she has always been run barefoot without a single issue, and I don’t think she has had a lame day in her life she’s a very personable horse that just oozes with talent. She’s quite to handle and ride, but loves her job jumping so can get a little strong and keen at times so needs a rider with a quite seat and hands. She has a quite bouncy elevated movement so it can be difficult to sit too. She has also had a foal so would make a great asset to a breeding program.

I brought Bella on 2023 and began eventing her, she took me from competing 60 to 95 and schooling around higher courses, really teaching me how to ride I’ve had her at state SJ in 2024 finishing 5th, 2024 80cm Finley HT 1st, 2024 Eva 80 Wagga HT 3rd, 2024 95cm sj Wangaratta 1st.

Bella’s parents were imported over from NZ as yearlings, and she was bred over here. Her Dad (Statford Kasino) was used as a 2 or 3 year old stallion as he was super quiet before being gelded. He then eventually went to a dressage home where he competed to Advanced and Pre Saint George dressage and has since been retired with that home. Her Mum (Statford Dezabell), went through a couple homes as a broodmare.

I would prefer her to go to a young rider who is looking for a schoolmaster to take them up the levels. It is a truly heartbreaking sale, and am only selling Bella as I have just completed year 12 and am moving away next year and don’t feel it is fair to leave her in the paddock as she still has so much life in her and absolutely loves her job.
