Flash – 18yo | 15.1hh Cross-breed | Ultimate Schoolmaster

Flash is a much-loved schoolmaster gelding who has truly been there and seen it all. He is a safe, genuine, and very well-educated horse who has spent many years in Pony Club and with adult riders, where he carefully and confidently looks after his rider.

He has comfortably competed up to 105cm show jumping and is 100% honest with absolutely no stop in him. Flash particularly loves cross-country. Water, ditches, banks and new environments are no issue for Flash. He gives his rider confidence and is the same at home as he is out, whether at Pony Club, competitions, or on trail rides. Flash has always been ridden in a snaffle and is one of the most comfortable horses to ride, with lovely, consistent paces. He is well schooled on the flat with laterals established.

Flash will catch you in the paddock, ties and is good to handle. He is an absolute pleasure to have around, calm and affectionate by nature.

Out on trail rides, he is excellent — sensible, reliable and happy to go alone or in company. He is the type of horse you can trust to get on and enjoy.

Although Flash measures 15.1hh, he is big and solid through the barrel, making him best suited to a taller rider.

As an older gentleman, Flash does have a few personal traits that are important to mention:

He has a pink nose, so he requires a nose cover to prevent sunburn

He flicks his nose during flatwork, however with more collection from the rider, this becomes less persistent.

Flash would suit a rider looking for a reliable schoolmaster, Pony Club mount, trail-riding partner, or confidence builder who will genuinely look after his person.

Flash is not suitable for a total beginner due to his size.
