German Riding Pony X Mare (Noble Dancer x Harvest Oracle (WB).

8 year old Chestnut Mare.

Effie is a striking, bold and talented mare with a big presence and an even bigger personality.

By Noble Dancer, unofficially measuring approx. 15.2hh.

She is training at Elementary level and has proven herself as a successful young rider mount. Effie has been confidently exposed to varied environments — nothing phases her. She has schooled cross-country, loves jumping, and comfortably schools 60 to 1m at home, having competed to 60–70cm. Outstanding hunter mount, wins every working hunter she enters with a young rider on board.

She has competed with a young rider at:

🏅 Pony Club State Championships (Top 10 placings in the 13 to 26 year age group with a 13 yr old rider)

Her true forte is dressage, where her movement and rideability shine.

The facts:

⚠️ Effie is a fiery, dominant mare and requires a confident, experienced rider. She thrives with clear leadership and is not suited to beginners or nervous riders. When very excited, she may offer an expressive buck; however, this is not behavior aimed at dislodging the rider. No bolt, rear, etc.

⚠️ Effie has ongoing stifle and ligament issues that affect long-term soundness and workload expectations. She is currently returning to work following 8 weeks off due to a further stifle injury that resulted from a paddock incident and will require a knowledgeable home able to manage her ongoing soundness needs.

💡 History of a bone chip on her lower jaw as a result of her fighting with another horse when she was younger - has resulted in a small lump on her jaw that in no way affects her or her teeth. She does, and will kick at other horses, previous scratches to her hind legs as a result of this. She is NOT blemish-free. She is much easier to paddock on her own; however, if she likes the other horse, they are fine.

With her breeding, presence, and movement, Effie would also make an ideal broodmare prospect.

💬 Effie is my only mount, and I am seeking a more consistently sound partner to continue enjoying my own riding. This is a difficult decision, and she will only be sold to the right home.

This is a very special mare who will not be sold in a hurry, particularly as she is now in rehab to be back under saddle in the up coming weeks — she will remain with us until the right home is found.
