Beau is looking for his forever home and a special human to call his own.

Beau is an 11 year old OTT Thoroughbred gelding, standing at 16.1hh, with a beautiful nature and a heart of gold. He has been with me since retiring from his racing career and has since enjoyed a varied and fulfilling life beyond the track.

He has been used predominantly as a therapy horse within my health and clinical therapy practice and has also been a pleasure dressage and classical riding mount. Beau thrives on connection and loves having a job to do, making him a truly special partner.

Beau is a chunky monkey who holds his weight exceptionally well and is very easy to keep.

Pros:

• Exceptionally kind, gentle, and affectionate, a true sook - the best temperament you can get
• Safe and sensible with no vices (no buck, bolt, bite, or kick); easy to catch and handle, and prefers an angle float
• Tries his heart out and gives his all to his rider
• Professionally retrained with multiple well-known dressage and classical trainers
• Well-mannered and reliable
• Up to date with feet, worming, osteo, and dentist
• Loves liberty work, groundwork, and lunging as much as riding — he’s a smart cookie
• Ideal for pleasure riding or therapy-based work

Beau would suit someone seeking a genuine, kind-hearted horse to enjoy and grow with, whether through pleasure riding, classical work, or a therapeutic partnership.

Cons:

• Beau is not a high level competition horse. If you’re looking for your next competitive mount, he isn’t it.
• Beau can canter on both leads but is still developing balance. He prefers the right canter and right bend over the left. This is consistently improving but will require a patient, confident and knowledgeable rider to continue supporting his development.

Beau is offered at 8K. While the price is negotiable, the quality of home and human is not. This isn't a first in, best dressed sale, the most suitable home is more important.

Beau will come with his rugs, grooming gear, and some feed to help ease his transition into his new home.
