Introduction:
Introducing Ivy Bank Jasper, a stunning 4-year-old Warmblood gelding standing at 16.1hh. He showcases a beautiful palomino coat with three white socks and an outstanding temperament. Jasper has been bred, broken in, and produced by his owner, following in the footsteps of his sire, Ivy Bank Eclipse (The Dream Cream Stallion), and his sire’s sire, Ivy Bank Monte Christo (Jaybee Leuwin). His exceptional pedigree makes him an exceptional find in the equine world.

Education, skills and experience:
Jasper has completed a solid education over the past year, undergoing professional training that includes short preparations followed by longer spells. He has been educated across multiple disciplines and confidently ridden by various riders, including a 14-year-old. His experience includes trail riding, swimming in dams, and participating in local dressage competitions. Jasper showcases his versatility by attending jumping clinics and cross-country schooling.

Dressage:
In dressage, Jasper has demonstrated his potential with two local competition outings, where he won the Preparatory tests, showcasing his consistent performance and ability to excel in this discipline.

Showjumping:
Jasper shows huge potential over fences, as he is incredibly willing and unfazed by most situations. He takes everything in stride, demonstrating no stop at a fence, whether it is scary fill or a young rider placing him in an awkward spot.

General demeanor under saddle:
Under saddle, Jasper is forward and sharp, yet he remains willing and responsive. He is soft and light in the bridle and willingly collects when asked. His tolerant nature allows him to be forgiving of rider mistakes, and he is generally calm and reliable, although not completely unflappable.

Current workload/ fitness:
Currently, Jasper is in light work, being ridden one to two times a week. He does not require regular riding to remain reliable and safe; however, he benefits from a quick lunge, before riding, after a spell.

Handling and general behaviour:
Jasper can be described as a bit 'in your face' in a friendly manner. He leads calmly and willingly, ties up happily without fuss, and self-loads into a float or truck very easily. He stands quietly when traveling and unloads calmly. Jasper is easy to wash and is reliable for handling during farrier visits and for the vet.

Feeding and management:
Jasper is currently grass-fed only and can get excited about treats or hard feed. He can be pushy at feed time but shows no aggression towards humans. Management is flexible, as he can be kept in a herd situation or in a paddock on his own, and is comfortable being stabled for 12 hours each day.

Medical history:
Jasper has no past or present medical issues, indicating his soundness and overall health. He is currently vaccinated for Tetanus and Strangles, with the last dental appointment having been in December 2025.

Rider Suitability:
Jasper is best suited for a capable rider, defined as someone who has been riding and competing regularly for at least five years. This rider should possess independent hands and a balanced position, with the ability to walk, trot, and canter on various horses, both young and educated. He would also suit a junior rider under 18, a young rider aged 18-24, an amateur adult rider, or a mature rider.

Reason for sale:
Ivy Bank Jasper is being offered for sale by his breeder/trainer as a quality performance horse. The seller is looking for a keen young or amateur rider or a professional rider who can help Jasper progress through the grades in their chosen discipline.
