RegistrationsIntroduction: Farleigh Ariadne (Chessie) is a beautiful galloway Riding Pony mare. She has done a bit of everything from showing in-hand and under saddle, pony club, jumping and is showing lots of potential as a dressage pony.
Education, skills and experience: Chessie is training Novice level dressage - lengthening, 15m circles and leg yield. She is capable of elementary work. Chessie does clean flying changes when jumping.
Chessie is capable of jumping to 80cm showjumping with an experienced rider but needs further training to establish her confidence at this level. She has had many outings jumping around 40-50cm courses with a young rider at her previous and current homes.
General demeanor under saddle: Chessie is a willing and responsive mare. This is what makes her a competitive performance pony. Chessie loves her job!
Chessie collects easily for her rider. She is light and happy in a snaffle at all times on the flat. Chessie is jumped in a Bombers DC Morgan.
She has attended pony club and regularly competes. Chessie is familiar with dogs and kids. She is generally tolerant and safe. all situations.
Current workload/ fitness: Chessie is ridden 4 plus days a week, requires no lunging prior to riding.
Handling: Chessie is easy to catch, handle, saddle, wash and float. She is patient, kind and reliable.
Behaviour: Chessie thrives on consistent work, making her a great partner for a motivated rider.
Feeding and management: Chessie is hard fed, consisting of lucerne chaff, soaked cracked lupins & Mag E supplement. She is an easy doer. Chessie can be stabled or paddocked. Chessie is a pleasure to take to shows, travels well, eats and drinks happily.
Medical history: Chessie doesn’t have any medical concerns.
Rider Suitability: Chessie is a competitive mare with loads of personality and ability. Not for a beginner or novice rider but absolutely ideal for a confident rider.
Reason for sale: Chessie is very sadly for sale due to being very quickly outgrown. She is a valuable part of her family and will only be sold to the right home and rider.sire
