Purpose-bred sport horse with eventing and show jumping in her blood.

Moxie is a compact, athletic mare with three balanced, quality paces. She’s well put together, with a naturally athletic type that should suit eventing or show jumping. She will be best suited to a knowledgeable smaller adult or professional looking to develop a competitive young prospect.

Moxie is unbroken and has been paddock raised, allowed time to mature physically and mentally. She’s easy to catch, loves a scratch and a carrot, and is accustomed to regular trimming and worming. She is green, as expected for her age, but has shown no nastiness or difficult behaviour.

She has not yet been exposed to formal groundwork, tying up or travelling independently and will suit an experienced home comfortable producing a young horse from the beginning. Priced to reflect her current stage of education.

Her dam, Thank God It’s Friday (Frida), was by Kirby Park Irish Friday - closely related to Megan Jones’ Olympic mount KPI Jester. Frida won and placed consistently as a young horse, showing scope and sensitivity before a career-ending injury saw her retire to stud.

Moxie’s sire, Wild Kard, is by international show jumping stallion Kannan out of 5* eventing mare Wild Oats, bringing proven top-level jumping genetics on both sides.

This cross combines everything you’d hope to see in a performance horse, and makes for an exciting young prospect for someone wanting to produce their own.

Moxie is available for sale because she hasn’t matured to the hight I’d hoped.
