16.1hh | 9 yo OTTB Bay Mare

Williamstown SA, Australia

This OTTB mare has a kind, gentle nature and loves attention and a cuddle. She has no history of kicking, bolting, or biting.

Currently barefoot as she’s out of work over winter. Have only put shoes on the front due to the rocky ground here, otherwise her feet hold up great. She goes well for the dentist, vet, and farrier.

She floats well, both angle and straight load. On the ground, she is easy to handle—easy to catch, happy to tie, and relaxed leaving her paddock mates, whether alone or in company. Has been paddocked with a miniature gelding and another small mare without issue.

Unfazed by her surroundings, she is great with dogs, children, kangaroos, cars, stock and tractors. Good with fencing. She is comfortable riding along roads and remains calm in traffic.

Under saddle, she has previously jumped up to 90cm and has experience in hunting, show jumping, and general hacking. Is typically calm and relaxed, though can get a little excited now and then when out. When this happens and is made to work, she does settle back down and go back to moving forward in a calm manner.

She responds well to regular work, which I unfortunately haven’t been able to give her over winter and won’t be able to work her again until summer. Currently being sold in paddock condition and out of work, which is reflected in the price.

She will go with her summer rug and winter rug.
