Rothlynne Black Maryah is a stunning 8-year-old straight Egyptian Arabian mare, standing approximately 14.3hh (unmeasured) and presented in a striking black coat. She is registered with AHSA and comes with full pedigree, making her an excellent prospect for both riding and breeding programs. Maryah spent her early years living naturally in a herd environment, where she successfully raised a filly. Her ridden education began in September last year, and she has developed exceptionally well since then. She has proven to be a willing, intelligent, and highly trainable mare who genuinely enjoys her work and aims to please her rider. She is versatile and adaptable—comfortable in a herd setting or alone if in a paddock, out on trail rides, and responsive in the arena. Maryah is very sensitive and rider-focused, making her best suited to someone who appreciates a refined, responsive horse. She is particularly good off the leg, enjoys lateral work such as leg yields, and is a quick learner who continues to improve with consistent handling. Maryah is reliable around a wide variety of distractions, including dogs, children, and machinery. She remains calm and level-headed even in unexpected situations, such as sudden noises or dogs rushing fences, and does not bolt or panic. She is easy to catch and handle—so much so that the farrier works on her independently while the owner is away. She has never been shod. She is well-mannered on the ground and under saddle, understands the “stay” command, and will stand quietly when asked. She can also follow her handler without contact and is trained to open gates while mounted (demonstrated in video). Maryah does have a cosmetic scar that does not affect her performance or soundness. As she has been brought along thoughtfully, some care has been taken with her bending work, which she understands and performs comfortably. Important to note: Due to her sensitive nature, she does not like rugs that create static (electrified feeling), as this causes tension and discomfort. She is, however, perfectly content in her current cotton rug. Overall, Rothlynne Black Maryah is a kind, responsive, and well-minded mare with a solid foundation and a bright future ahead. She would suit a knowledgeable rider looking for a sensitive and willing partner to continue developing. Location: Grose Wold NSW
