Atlas // Map Of The Heart — 13.2hh 4yo Welsh Cross

Striking young pony with a bright future

Atlas is a 13.2hh, 4-year-old Welsh Cross gelding who has been thoughtfully started and is now ready to find his next person.

Atlas is a smart, willing and genuine young pony with a lovely temperament. He is affectionate and people-oriented, with a kind nature that makes him a pleasure to have around.

He has already had a good introduction to competition life, including multiple outings and winning his first ever competition, scoring 68.67% and 67.67% in Prep Dressage. He has also had starts at Preliminary level.

He is now training novice and elementary movements.

Atlas has also commenced his jumping education and is showing great promise. He is brave, straightforward and not looky. Jumping 70cm on the lunge with scope to burn.

He has lovely movement and is very comfortable to ride, making him an enjoyable pony with the potential to develop across a number of disciplines.

He has also had plenty of exposure outside the arena. Atlas is great on trails and has been ridden on the road around cars, bikes, cows, dogs and trucks. He’s been to obstacle courses, rally days and group lessons with no fuss. He is the same at home and out.

He is happy to ride both with other horses and independently, making him a versatile pony for both competition and pleasure riding. He is currently paddocked with other horses and is very settled in this arrangement, although he has also been perfectly happy living by himself.

Atlas is also excellent to float, making competition days and travelling straightforward. Easy for farrier, dentist, and vets. Very easy keeper and great feet.

He has been ridden and handled by children but would also suit a small adult rider.

With his striking appearance, movement and presence, he would certainly catch the eye in the hack ring, although he is unable to be registered for Welsh classes.

He is a clever young pony who has already been given a broad foundation and has the potential to become a very competitive and versatile little horse. He would also be an excellent lead pony.

He is still young and therefore ideally looking for a knowledgeable family.

I absolutely adore this little pony, so I am in no rush to see him go. Finding Atlas the right home is important to me and until then, he will continue  his education and try to get out to more competitions. Price is negotiable to the right home.
