Bluebell is looking for a knowledgeable new home.
She has been part of our family for the past few years after I purchased her together with her six-month-old daughter, Clancy. Clancy is now three years old and I broke her in myself. She has developed into a quiet, sensible mare and has been a pleasure to own. I believe Clancy is a good example of the temperament and quality Bluebell can produce.
Bluebell has been DNA verified as a Waler and is the dam of my registered Waler mare, Clancy. Although Bluebell was never registered herself, her DNA verification enabled Clancy to be registered, providing documented confirmation of Bluebell's Waler breeding.
Bluebell is halter trained, leads well, ties up quietly and has completed some basic groundwork. She has worn a saddle and has been introduced to the early stages of her education.
Bluebell is a timid mare and needs further groundwork and experienced training to build her confidence before progressing with her education. Over the past few years I have enjoyed learning to break in horses as a hobby and have successfully broken in Clancy and our small Welsh pony, Peggy. Bluebell needs more experience and time than I am able to offer her.
Rather than continue beyond my level of experience, I believe it is in Bluebell's best interests to find a knowledgeable horse person who has the experience and time to continue working with her.
Our horses have always been kept for recreational purposes on our 300-acre property at Warraderry.
We are looking to find the right home for Bluebell.
Inspections are welcome by appointment.
