Esperance is superbly bred - his sire is elite Grand Prix and Olympic jumper, Emerald van't Ruytershof, with successes far too many to list, and a proven sire of sires. ​His dam, Diamond B Bollywood, is a granddaughter of world cup mare Colthaga, the dam of the licensed and now exported stallion Caracas (Casall), now a stablemate of Emerald. Add in Vivant and Baluga on his damline, and his pedigree is a goldmine of proven top jumpers.
