Classy Dressage Mare

Bird is looking for a rider wishing to do primarily dressage, pleasure or trail riding and most importantly to love her endlessly. She really bonds to her rider and wants to try for them, and as such is an incredibly rewarding horse to work with. Bird is the most beautiful, kind and safe mare, who has recently been retired from higher level show jumping (mini-prix level). She is a joy to have around, easy to do everything with and is child, dog, traffic and tractor proof with absolutely no dirt.

However, she is sensitive and has a very powerful engine that is always thinking forwards, so she needs a rider who won't be overwhelmed by the power and is competent and balanced, to embrace the power and swing of this classy mare.

Whilst she is more than capable to continue jumping at the lower levels, she fires up and gives it her all, and as a result, isn't kind to her front feet. Therefore, I have made the decision that she would be best suited to a non-jumping home. The perfect home is a rider who wants to enjoy her athleticism and work ethic in the dressage arena, and is happy to invest the time and energy to make sure her feet stay balanced and well shod on regular farriery cycles.

She is currently in full work and starting to really excel in elementary and medium movements. Flying changes are a breeze. Whilst she hasn't been out to a straight dressage competition, she would excel at this, being so willing and capable to train.

She has also carried one foal as a young horse, and produced three beautiful foals via embryo transfer.

Home is of paramount importance for this mare.
