Competitive Pony Club, Interschool & Eventing Pony | Successfully competed to EVA80

It is with a very heavy heart that I am helping Dollar’s family find his next home.

I have had the privilege of being Dollar’s rider’s coach throughout their four years together, and I have watched this partnership grow from the very beginning. I have seen first-hand just how much this pony has taught his rider, the confidence he has given her, and all the experiences and memories they have shared.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale, but sadly his rider has simply outgrown him. If Dollar were bigger, he simply would not be going anywhere.

Dollar is a talented, experienced and incredibly versatile all-rounder who has done a little bit of everything. He has introduced his rider to Pony Club, dressage, show jumping, eventing, showing and Interschool competition, and has successfully competed to EVA80.

He is a genuine “been there, done that” pony who loves having a job and absolutely thrives on getting out and about.

For the right young rider, Dollar offers the opportunity to continue learning, developing and competing with a pony who already has an enormous amount of experience under his belt.

PERSONALITY

Dollar’s personality is one of the things that makes him so special.

He is the pony who greets you at the gate, calls out when he sees you and always has a little bit of cheek about him. He is affectionate, full of character and has a wonderful personality that is impossible not to love.

He has been an absolute pleasure for his family to own and has given them four wonderful years of memories, experiences and so many special moments together.

He has an outstanding work ethic, loves getting out and about and always gives his rider his absolute best.

DRESSAGE

Dollar works in a lovely frame and is responsive and willing to his rider.

He has successfully competed at Novice level, with his current rider developing a very strong partnership with him over the past four years.

He is intelligent, learns quickly and genuinely enjoys being trained. He is the type of pony that gives his rider something to work with and allows them to continue developing their skills as a partnership.

SHOW JUMPING

Dollar loves his show jumping.

He is honest, careful and gives his rider confidence around a course, while also having the ability to be exceptionally quick against the clock when asked.

Confident and competitive around courses up to 85cm and has been confidently schooled at home up to 1m.

His forgiving nature makes him a wonderful partner for a rider developing their competition experiences, while his ability and competitiveness allow a more experienced rider to chase results.

CROSS COUNTRY & EVENTING

Cross country has always been his rider’s favourite phase of eventing — and Dollar clearly agrees!

His ears are pricked from start to finish and he genuinely loves getting out there and tackling the course.

He is brave, genuine and forward without being spooky, and confidently takes on whatever is put in front of him.

He has successfully competed and trained up to EVA80 level and is ready to continue eventing with his next rider.

RIDER SUITABILITY

Dollar is best suited to a confident young rider who enjoys a pony with plenty of personality, enthusiasm and a love of his job.

He is forward, willing and loves his eventing, so he will be best matched with a rider who is comfortable and confident riding a competitive pony.

In the right partnership, he has so much to offer. He has the experience to teach a young rider, the ability to be competitive and, importantly, the personality to become a much-loved member of the family.

SOUNDNESS & CARE

Dollar is a sound, healthy pony with no ongoing maintenance requirements.

In the four years he has been with his current family, he has had no lameness issues or significant injuries.

He is currently in work and wearing front shoes only, although he has also previously been ridden successfully barefoot.

THE RIGHT HOME

This is the part of this sale that is particularly important to his family — and to me as his coach.

Dollar has been the perfect partner for his rider. He has given her confidence, experience, countless ribbons and, most importantly, so many wonderful memories.

I have watched their partnership develop over the past four years, and I know just how much this pony means to them.

We are not looking to simply sell Dollar. We are looking for the right next partnership.

He deserves a home where he will be loved, appreciated and given the opportunity to continue doing what he enjoys — getting out, having a job, competing and being part of a family.

He has so much to offer the right young rider, and I would love to see him continue his journey with someone who will enjoy him and appreciate him as much as his current family has.

Dollar is currently in full work and ready for his next adventure.
