About us:

The Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre (CPEC) site was formerly run by the Royal Agricultural Society as an historic part of the former Royal Easter Show site.

After 115 years, the Royal Agricultural Society relocated to Homebush Bay in 1997, and the site transferred to the ownership of the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, becoming part of the wider Centennial Parklands.

Officially opened to the public in June 1998, more than $10 million was invested in upgrades, new stables and heritage restoration at the time. This included the construction of the stunning 75m x 40m Covered Main Arena, which has subsequently been complemented by a roof over the Support Arena.

Blending a sense of history and tradition, and with a timeless atmosphere, CPEC is a unique equestrian facility in the heart of Sydney. Six commercial businesses operate within CPEC, as well as up to 135 privately leased stables. There are three riding schools, an on-site equine veterinarian, an equine therapy provider and one livery provider.

CPEC currently provides accommodation for 197 horses. Equine facilities include three arenas (including two roofed arenas), a covered lunge yard, stables (both inside pavilions and outdoors), wash bay facilities, sand rolls and on-site float parking, as well as additional facilities within Centennial Park.
