• 🐴 About Oscar 🐴

Oscar is a well-loved 16hh, 7-year-old bay Thoroughbred gelding with an exceptionally calm, affectionate nature. He LOVES attention, spending time with his person, and is happiest when he has someone to ride him regularly (he also loves smoochies!). His quiet, forgiving temperament makes him equally suited to a teenager wanting the experience of having their own horse, a Pony Club rider, a beginner, a nervous or anxious rider (like me!) or someone returning to the saddle.

Due to his temperament, non reactive nature and high intelligence, Oscar would also do extremely well at sports such as Polo- where you need a clever, non reactive and super chill horse.

Terms of the Lease

• Oscar is offered under his existing full‑care arrangement at Riverbend Equestrian, Gnarewarre (Geelong VIC). $245 per week payable to Riverbend (two weeks in advance rolling). This includes Oscar’s private paddock, all hard feed, daily feeding and rugging services, and paddock cleaning (ie poop pickup). You can also park your float for free on site.

• Includes full access to Riverbend’s high end, family friendly & exceptional facilities: giant indoor arena; multiple outdoor arenas; dedicated cross‑country course; showjumping facilities; trail‑ride access. All highly secured with cctv covering the site. There’s also a fully stocked feed shop, incredible community and you’ll love the owners and staff.

• You will have exclusive use of Oscar’s complete set of high‑end gear: correctly fitted saddle; bridle; rugs; and all necessary tack.

Important Stuff to Note

• Additional costs (outside of full care agistment) will be covered by the lessee- ie hay (grass & Lucerne), farrier (there is one on site), bodywork, supplements (he is only on two), salt blocks.

• To ensure a good fit for you and Oscar, it will be initially a month to month lease. We can discuss how this would work, but the main thing is ensuring Oscar & you are happy. It must be a good fit.
