Introduction:

Icarus Blue Diamond is a beautifully bred Irish Sport Horse mare by Classic Vision (RID) out of TPH Diamonds Forever (by Celtic Blue Diamond). A successful competition mare with consistent showjumping results from 1.10m–1.25m and experience to 1.30m - including competitive rounds in the last month. She offers a fabulous combination of proven performance, scope and versatility.

With two foals by Je T’aime Flamenco already on the ground, Icarus Blue Diamond also has established broodmare credentials. She presents as an attractive opportunity for a confident rider wanting a competitive showjumper, with the added benefit of her quality breeding and proven ability to produce foals.

Education, skills and experience:

Icarus Blue Diamond is an established showjumper with consistent wins and placings in 1.10m–1.30m classes, including Speed and AM5.

Alongside her showjumping career, she has enjoyed cross-country schooling over 2* fences - including water and drops - trail riding and beach outings. She is accustomed to farm life, machinery and dogs, and is happy to lead other horses or be led from them.

General demeanour under saddle:

Under saddle, Icarus Blue Diamond is a willing, forward and responsive performance mare who enjoys her work. She can be sharp and sensitive, is capable of working in collection.

She is generally calm and reliable, although not completely unflappable, and is best ridden by someone who appreciates a forward horse with her own engine. She is ridden in earplugs and a particular bit that suits her. Please see the Owner's Response Certificate for further information.

Current workload / fitness:

Icarus Blue Diamond is currently competing and in full work, ridden five or more times per week. She is most reliable with regular riding and benefits from a lunge before being ridden after a spell.

Handling:

On the ground, Icarus Blue Diamond is well mannered and straightforward to manage. She is easy to catch, lead, tie, groom, wash and clip. She self-loads, travels quietly and is reliable for the farrier and vet.

Feeding and management:

Icarus Blue Diamond is currently paddocked during the day and stabled overnight, with hay and hard feed. She can be kept in a herd, paddocked on her own or managed on a 12/12 stable and paddock routine. She receives preventative joint supplements.

Medical history:

Icarus Blue Diamond has recent 'clean' X-rays available. She was vaccinated for Tetanus in 2026 and had her dental completed in October 2026. Vet checks are welcome at the buyer's expense.

Rider Suitability:

Icarus Blue Diamond is best suited to a confident, capable young rider or amateur adult under regular professional instruction who enjoys a forward, competitive showjumper.

She would be a lovely match for someone looking for an established mare with scope, results and the ability to continue competing around 1.10m–1.30m. Her proven breeding history is an additional advantage for a rider interested in breeding later in her career.

She is not suitable for nervous or inexperienced riders and will be happiest in a consistent ridden program.

Reason for sale:

A genuine and reluctant sale as her owner is expecting her second child next year and her family commitments are growing.
