Looking For My Forever Home

River is a 16 yo bay TB approx 16.2hh. Highly educated and had a carer as a show jumper. He is easy with worming, teeth and loading (sometimes stubborn but will load.) His two vices are kicking at feed time and when his back legs are picked up during farrier visits. He has previously been shod but has been barefoot with me. He will suit someone who wants to have a reliable horse for pleasure riding,  plus more if he is brought in to work and builds up. He also needs someone who has the time to work with him for his back feet, who can provide him with ongoing care and regular feeding. He has been sold and passed around since his original owner (after racing) moved away and it is adamant that he will not have this happen to him again as I bought him from a place where he was neglected. He is a much loved part of our family and I need to know he is going to be safe, happy and loved. Due to moving and changes in my personal life, I have decided it is best I try to find him a forever home where he will have someone to ride him more often and someone who will be willing to put in the work when it comes to his back feet and feeding. A horsey home is very nessecary however confident children can also ride him. He is very well educated in dressage, jumping and trails and deserves a loving home where he will not be misunderstood or wheeled and dealed.
