Retired from racing as he didn't show form in his last start at Caulfield on May 31, 2025 - he came 11th.

Brought him in this prep and he has showed no interest or improvement. He then spelled with the trainer for about 6-8weeks before coming to me to be rehomed. I have had him one week as of 2/5/26.

Boardy as mentioned is here to be rehomed, not retrained. He will not be sold as a "retrained" horse so please hold this in mind.

Since being here he as been great to catch, trim, rug, float, wash and lead.

He was done some basic in hand work and walked over some poles including a series of raised one showing an ability to learn quickly and an innate carefulness.

He has worn a roller and bridle with me and has shown no concerns with this.

I will continue to do small in hand work activities with him to help make his transition easier when he finds a home and commences his retraining.

Boardy is very kind and affectionate, he is very food oriented and is a very in your pocket personality.

In the field he is dominant around feed with other horses so this must be taken into consideration when selecting a paddock situation.

He has apparently wind sucked in the stables when at the track, but I am yet to see him show any wind sucking behaviour here. This behaviour had zero affect on his appetite and his weight when at the track. If he has done it here without me noticing then again it has had zero affect on weight and appetite.

I believe Boardy would make a fantastic first OTTB for someone to bring along, or simply an OTTB for someone wanting a quiet reliable PC or ARC mount.

His rider at the track initiated him coming to me to find him a home as he was her favourite and wanted to see him go to a good home. She described him as being beautiful to ride and always carried himself well. Ground staff and the spelling property described him as kind, easy to handle and very unproblematic.
