Jerry is a flashy Chestnut 15.3hh 9-year-old OTTB Gelding with a kind, affectionate personality. He has potential to be a competitive showjumper, eventer or a dressage horse for an experienced rider. Equally, Jerry enjoys trail riding and would be very happy to be someone's trail riding buddy.

Jerry is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention. On the ground he is easy to handle, good with other horses, excellent manners, stands quietly for farrier, has great feet (barefoot), easy to keep, no vices, and is easy to float. Up to date with teeth and hendra vaccination.

Jerry has never shown any meanness and has no buck, bronk, bolt, rear. He is currently in work, ridden 3 to 4 times a week by a 14 year old rider. He can be ridden straight out of the paddock and bareback. Jerry has attended a few showjumping days, pony club musters, Alycia Burton camp, trail rides, as well as numerous cross-country schooling and lessons with coaches.

Jerry is very willing and honest and has shown us he can be a bold jumper with plenty of scope. He has comfortably schooled 80cm courses and has jumped up to 1.10m at home, showing ability and potential to progress further with the right rider.

Jerry is best suited to a confident and experienced rider, that is familiar with OTT retraining, who can provide him with consistent and patient education as he is green. He is a sensitive horse that can become nervous and unsure, particularly when taken out in busy environments and requires a rider with the confidence to help him through this. He is not suited to beginners, unbalanced, novice or nervous riders, or people returning to riding.

This is a genuine sale. Jerry is only available because I don't yet have the experience to give him what he needs. He has so much potential and I would love to see him succeed in the right home.
