Smarty

Smarty is a 10-year-old (DOB 12/2016) Palomino Quarter Horse gelding standing approximately 14.2hh. He is eligible for registration and boasts quality breeding, with respected cutting horse lines on both sides.

Smarty is a genuine horse with a playful nature and a variety of experiences under his belt. He has completed station work and mustering, numerous trail rides, obstacle work, and arena training. Over the past year, he has also competed at low-level dressage and show jumping events.

Having previously been started and trained by G.C. Horsemanship, Smarty has well-established foundations. He works well on contact or a loose rein and enjoys both arena work and trail riding.

Smarty is a forward-moving ride and is best suited to an intermediate or experienced rider. While generally sensible, he can occasionally pigroot or buck in the canter, so he is not suitable for beginners or nervous riders.

Smarty has undergone veterinary assessment for soundness concerns and has been diagnosed with mild arthritis. A full veterinary work-up has been completed, including investigations that ruled out ulcers and kissing spine. All veterinary reports, X-rays, diagnostic findings, and management recommendations will be provided to genuine buyers. His veterinarian has given a positive prognosis for pleasure riding with appropriate ongoing management.

We are offering Smarty for sale as I am looking to continue my competition journey into eventing. This is a difficult sale, and only the very best home will be considered. He is being offered at a significantly reduced price to reflect his maintenance requirements and would be ideally suited to someone looking for a pleasure horse, trail riding partner, or all-rounder to enjoy and continue developing.
