Child’s All-Rounder

We’ve made the difficult decision to see if we can find the right new home for our much-loved Stella.

Stella has the most incredible nature and has done a fantastic job teaching our daughter to ride, taking her from riding school ponies through to a confident intermediate rider. She is wonderful with little children and would make an excellent lead-line pony or children’s all rounder, completely coming back to their level and taking care of them.

Stella has previously jumped up to 90cm, but at this stage of her life we feel her ideal job is max 60cm jumping, prelim dressage, pony club, lessons, showing and general outings. She would be ideal for a family wanting a lovely all-round pony who can look after a younger child while also giving a more capable rider plenty to enjoy.

On the ground she is an absolute sweetheart and loves being groomed and loved on. Absolutely no kick, bite or nastiness, easy to catch, float and for the farrier, and she literally falls asleep while being clipped. She does prefer having another horse within sight of her paddock.

Stella has some managed age-related arthritic changes and recent X-rays are available. She has Queensland itch, which has mostly disappeared since moving to Toowoomba, so we’re ideally looking for a home west of the ranges or further south. I have previously managed this on the Gold Coast with a vet injection before summer and rugging.

We’re very happy to keep Stella, so finding the right home is far more important than selling her. She’s simply too good to be a paddock ornament when she could be teaching another child and enjoying a quieter competitive life.

Located Toowoomba, QLD.

Price negotiable, home is not.
