It is time for "Joy" to find her forever home as we reduce horse numbers and focus on our older stock.
Home bred "Joy" is well known member of the herd. She is an unregistered two-year-old Connemara mare with fabulous performance bloodlines, combining Achill Fiddler, Abbeyleix Finbar and Glenormiston Roscrenna. Sought after lines found within the performance studs of Asham, Atlantic Ponies and others in Australia and overseas.

Achill Fiddler boasts some rare and desirable bloodlines including Atlantic Rebel and Millfield's Commodore giving true Connemara type, big movement and easy temperament. He last stood at Atlantic Ponies and his offspring are proving themselves in competitive arenas with their “can do attitude” and jumping ability.

Glenormiston Roscrenna was by the Sue Clarke, imported Danish stallion Oxenholm Gideon. Gideon was a highly respected performance pony winning the Showjumping at Brookfield Show in Qld every single year he competed, beating many top showjumpers! Her Dam was the imported English mare Millfield’s Seaspray who has left a dynasty of ponies around the world. A full sister was exported to the USA where she has produced some amazing ponies and is one of the top broodmares at Wildwych Connemaras in Colorado. Roscrenna’s full sister, Glenormiston Rosslea graces Asham Connemara’s fabulous ponies closer to home and their impact is undoubted.

Abbeylix Finbar is a three-quarter brother to Coosheen Finn and Leam Bobby Finn and like them has produced many fine ponies throwing his temperament, type, correct conformation, ability and movement. Finbar himself, enjoyed a fruitful career in the show ring, winning innumerable championships and supreme championships as well as competing with great success in harness and pony jumping. He has a number of successful stallion sons in Australia, USA and New Zealand.

Lovely young mare with plenty of potential and could develop into a quality performance pony, all-rounder or future broodmare.
"Joy" has been handled, floats and is ready to continue her education. Currently she is approx. 13.3hh and likely to mature around 14 hh. She is still very much a blank canvas, giving her new owner the opportunity to develop her in the direction that suits them.
