Offered for sale with great reluctance due to work and travel commitments, Tori is a much-loved mare who has been part of our family for the past 10 years. This is a difficult decision, and finding her the right home is far more important than price.

Tori is a quality allrounder with an extensive background across showjumping, dressage, eventing, pony club, sporting, mounted games and trail riding. Throughout her career, she has competed at interschools, pony club, and the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Her primary discipline has been showjumping, where she successfully competed up to 95cm and trained to 110cm at home. She has also won C Grade showjumping at pony club level and placed in numerous other competitions.

Tori has been out of consistent work since 2021 and is therefore best suited to an experienced, confident rider capable of bringing a horse back into work correctly and gradually rebuilding fitness and strength. Once in regular work, she is a lovely ride — soft in the mouth, sensible and more “woah” than “go”, while still being an eager and genuine jumper who enjoys having a job.

While she is not nasty in any way and does not buck, she can be slightly flighty when fresh or lacking consistent work and may react if spooked. For this reason, she is strictly not suited to beginner or inexperienced riders. She thrives with calm, confident handling and consistent work.

On the ground, Tori is affectionate and people-oriented with a sweet nature. She is good to catch, float and shoe, has lived happily with geldings for many years and is generally easy to manage day to day. She can experience some separation anxiety and may occasionally fence walk around feed time.

Tori is fully sound with no known injuries affecting her performance. She has an old cosmetic scar on a back leg from prior to my ownership, which has never caused any issues. Currently shod all round.

She would suit an experienced rider seeking a quality horse for pleasure riding, jumping, adult riding club or lower-level competition. Given her age and time out of work, she is unlikely to return to upper-level competition, however she still has plenty to offer in the right home and would thrive with someone able to give her consistency and purpose again.

Price reflects her current level of work. If not sold within the coming weeks, Tori will return to professional work/training and her price will increase accordingly.
