Twix is a Stunning Liver Chestnut, Welsh, with so much potential to be a competitive 2nd horse for young rider.
He has beautiful movement, loves to jump and an absolute smooch on the ground.
Twix was broken and turned out for many years. When we purchased him 18m ago he was extremely green. Since we have had him, my 13-year-old daughter has been riding him regularly, he has attended monthly Pony Club Rally's and been to Gymkhanas, ODE, training days, jump club and more. He has improved and settled substantially. The hard work with him is done, but he now needs time in the saddle, exposure and a loving educated home to continue to bring out the amazing potential he has.
His Pros - HE IS GORGEOUS
- The sweetest and safest pony on the ground
- has a fantastic jump on him
- Very trusting, once he trusts you, he will jump anything you point him at.
- Has beautiful movement
- Fine with being away from his friends/paddock buddies at events.
- Great to Float,Farrier,Dentist
- He has thrown the off pigroot here and there but has never bronked or bucked
- has never bitten or kicked on the ground
His flaws - Can be reactive/spooky (with exposure and time he gets better and better)
- He loves to jump and can get excited on cross country
- Sensitive to a rider's seat. This can be a pro with the right rider.
- Doesn't love to be wormed. (my 13year old manages to do it though)
He is not a beginner pony at this stage. He needs an educated family to continue his training and give him the exposure he needs.
Twix was taken on by my daughter and I as a 12month project. We absolutely love him, but now he just needs time.
He will only be sold to the best of homes. I'm happy to continue dragging him around, with our other horses, eventing him, until he sells to the right home.
