Prismatic – 16hh 8yo Off The Track Thoroughbred Gelding

If temperament is at the top of your wish list, Pris is going to be very hard to look past.

Pris is an exceptionally quiet, kind and genuine 8yo Thoroughbred gelding with a temperament that is hard to find. Standing at 16hh and a lovely solid, stocky type, he is an incredibly handsome dark brown (almost black) gelding with a beautiful head and kind eye.

Pris raced and has transitioned into his life after racing exceptionally well.

Since beginning his retraining, Pris has developed a lovely basic education on the flat. He works in a soft frame at walk, trot and canter on both reins, moves nicely off the leg and is leg yielding well. He is still developing his strength, balance and education and is currently working on becoming more consistent with picking up his right canter lead.

Pris has had limited jumping exposure since leaving racing, however he has been extremely willing and straightforward with everything we have asked of him so far. Given his previous career and his sensible attitude, there is plenty of opportunity for his new owner to continue developing him over fences if they wish.

Where Pris really stands out, however, is his temperament and versatility. Over the past few months Pris has been regularly used within our riding school and has been ridden by a variety of different riders. He has also been trusted to carry children and complete beginners on controlled pony rides, taking everything completely in his stride.

He is equally enjoyable outside of the arena. Pris is great to hack out and has been exposed to trails, bridges, vehicles and plenty of general farm activity without fuss. He is the type who genuinely seems to enjoy having a job and being involved.

On the ground he is an absolute pleasure. He is easy to catch, handle and do everything with, and is a lovely horse to have around. He has a sweet, people oriented nature and is very easy to fall in love with.

Pris is not being sold as a finished competition horse. There is still plenty to develop and we would love to see him go to someone who will continue his education and enjoy everything he has to offer. What he does already have is an exceptional foundation, a willing attitude and a genuinely outstanding temperament.

We feel Pris could make a wonderful allrounder for someone wanting a safe, sensible and enjoyable horse to continue training. He has plenty of potential to explore a variety of disciplines, while also being perfectly happy enjoying a more relaxed life of arena work, lessons, hacking or basically any sport his new home would like to try.

Pris is only available because we cannot keep them all, and finding him the right home is extremely important to us.
