Wanting to find my partner in crime

Looking for my next partner in crime.

After circulating through the horse market, I finally know what I am after. I am looking for a minimal fuss, forgiving and kind horse who is able to do most things. Preferably a horse to help me with the ropes of jumping and compete low to mid level showjumping/eventing and also attend pony club occasionally. Will also be riding this horse solo often and around my relatively quiet neighbourhood. Love a smoochy horse but not a requirement.

I would say I am an intermediate rider. My confidence is typically up in the air, some days I’m confident, other days I’m not. Just looking for that chill, slow horse. I have another riding horse, however he is a 50/50 survival rate ride

About my level of care; I have adjustable saddles and get my horses professionally fitted, I get body work done every time they’re feeling off however this being a potential competition horse I will have it organised as once a month to ensure they’re comfortable, I have an excellent barefoot farrier. 24/7 access to forage.

Requirements:

14hh

Established walk trot and canter

Pony club experience preferred

Not too stressed out and about

Mare or gelding

No major vices under saddle

Easy to handle

Any breed

Any colour (I am biased to dark bays tho, love them)

8 to 15yo, may consider younger depending on temperament and experience

Not a super reactive type

More woah than go is fine

Can load on a straight float

Well exposed, not green

Sound and sane

Fine out riding by itself and in groups

I want at least a trial for a few weeks to ensure the horse fits my environment and what I do. Or a lease with the option to buy. Will be getting a vet check at my expense.

Test ride I am wanting to walk trot and canter, and pop over a few small fences.

I’m located in Kirkstall Victoria, will travel 3 hours, maybe more depending on how many boxes the horse ticks. I will not be buying sight unseen. Happy to supply references. Horse will be very loved. Budget is 5🥕🥕🥕 and rising slowly. I do uni online so I am able to spend time with my horses between classes! I am also supported by my parents.
