It is with a heavy heart that I am seeking a new home for my beautiful boy, Colton, as he has not settled into my herd and would be happier in a more suitable environment.

Colton is a stunning 16.1hh, 6-year-old Standardbred gelding with a lovely nature around people. He enjoys attention, will happily walk up to greet you in the paddock, and loves being around humans. Since retiring from racing last year, he has enjoyed a relaxed paddock life and has completed basic groundwork. He has not yet been started under saddle.

Colton is currently carrying a little less condition than usual due to being on medication following a minor paddock injury. He slipped under a fence and sustained a cut to his leg, which has healed exceptionally well and has had no lasting effects on his soundness or wellbeing. Just a simple surface cut.

While Colton is wonderful with people, he can be dominant and aggressive towards other horses. He has kicked and lashed out on occasion and, as such, requires a home where he can be kept separately or managed carefully around other horses. For this reason, an experienced and knowledgeable home is essential.

Please note that Colton cannot be stabled and requires a paddock-based lifestyle.

Finding the right home is my absolute priority. A written agreement will be required, and if at any stage his new owner can no longer keep him, he must be returned to me. Under no circumstances is he to be passed on without my knowledge.
